Dr. Carlos Abboud Joins Dr. Helaine Smith’s Boston Cosmetic Dentistry Practice

New Periodontist Is a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists
BOSTON, MA – August 15, 2007 – Helaine Smith, DMD, (http://www.helainesmithdmd.com) is pleased to announce that Dr. Carlos Abboud has recently joined her Boston cosmetic dentistry practice as her resident periodontist and implant surgeon. In addition to his extensive experience in periodontics and implant surgery, Dr. Abboud was recently nominated as a Diplomate with the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI), a designation involving hundreds of rigorous case hours, authoring articles, and presenting cases before the ICOI board.
Dr. Abboud’s specialized interests comprise soft tissue reconstructive plastic surgery, cosmetic soft tissue management, smile line enhancement, surgical placement of dental implants regenerative, bone grafting procedures, and exposure of impacted teeth.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Abboud has held two academic positions as a Clinical Instructor at Case Western University and at Loma Linda University. He is certified in Intravenous Sedation in Massachusetts and California, a certification administered by the California Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Smith, a Boston, Massachusetts cosmetic dentist, has combined a dedication to patient care, volunteerism, and business acumen since beginning her dentistry career in 1991. She is a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry and a Las Vegas Institute graduate, and she recently completed an executive MBA program at Suffolk University.
