Full Mouth Dental Restorations by Boston’s Dr. Helaine Smith

Thanks to her training in full-mouth dental restorations from the prestigious Las Vegas Institute, Dr. Smith can completely restore your smile. Working with Dr. Favaloro, Dr. Smith will determine if you first need oral surgery to replace lost bone or to place dental implants. Once this work is complete, Dr. Smith then rebuilds your smile using crowns and porcelain dental veneers.
For more complex cases, Dr. Smith can also restore function and stability to the entire neuromuscular system, which includes the temporomandibular joint (TMJ), blood vessels, and muscles used to chew – thus eliminating further destruction to these structures.
Sam transforms his smile – and his life
When Sam visited Dr. Smith’s office, he was very depressed about his smile. Sam had 15 missing congenital permanent teeth and his bite was over-closed. His smile definitely did not match his intelligence and good looks.
After a consult and a CT scan, it was determined that Sam had no bone to harvest other than his rib. Sam elected not to have additional surgery, hence bone grafting and dental implants could not be used.
Because he wasn’t a good candidate for dental implants, Sam’s treatment plan included restoration of the entire mouth using Zirconia bridges and Empress MAC porcelain veneers. Once his new smile was in place, Sam made fast changes to his life. He stopped smoking, got his hair cut, and updated his Facebook profile! Even better, he now smiles with his eyes opened.
